Field of Dreams - A Tribute to the Singapore National Stadium
that's where i went the whole day.
other than rushing to send forms back to NIE and all, that is.
was kinda dragged there to accompany mummy but in the end it was the other way round. haha.
updates first before the pics! (that's if i know how to upload it)
hmm, it was terribly hot!!
we were all like roasted chicken till ard 6 plus. so much for an expected afternoon rain frm the weather forecast center huh? haha.
okies, first up the international friendly match btw S'pore and M'sia ex-international soccer players.
wasn't much of a kick cuz both teams called for substitution every 5 to 10 mins.
but we cant blame them either. most of these ex-internationals are ard 40 plus and have been coaching and not playing alr .
it was a draw of 1-1 at full time so the winner was decided by the toss of coin.
in the end, S'pore won!
we werent that lucky in the second match with Australia thou.
the second match was way thrilling and i wanna say that THIS IS MY FIRST LIVE SOCCER MATCH!! the first one doesn't count since they didn't play for the full duration. :)
hmm, the Lions were a bit of a letdown.
some were quite reluctant to run for the ball.
and, there were 3 times that the stretcher has to come into the field to carry 3 Lions out due to injuries.
and, i counted, we were so so close to scoring for 7 times!!
but in the end, Australia won with 3-0 at full time.
maybe cuz the Aussies were bigger as compared to the Lions. haha.
AND AND AND, at the end of the match, before the lights out ceremony,
LIONEL LEWIS THREW HIS GLOVES!!
for a moment i wish i was seated at the front! but then again, it wld be super unglam!
and then it was lights out.
and then team S'pore walked one round on the track.
and then Kit Chan sang 'Live your Dream'
and i felt very nostalgic.
i missed sec sch with wee, stephie and the guys.
missed cheering comp, national day celebrations, a.maths copying sessions in the morn, copying sessions during bio and physics class tests, bbqs, sentosa, chalet and everything.
i missed jc with prf, the drama mamas, ade, rah and the guys.
missed slacking in the canteen, SYF trainings, night studying prog, vandalising each others' lec notes, lib visits, combined assemblies, gossiping sessions and everything.
and then at the very end, there were fireworks! :)
the point that i wanna bring forth today is this:
do you have what it takes to be on your own field of dreams?
PPL, if ur ans to the above qns is 'No',
WAKE UP UR IDEA!
all of us have what it takes to be on ur own field of dreams!!
all you need is to DO SOMETHING to it!
DREAMING IS ONE THING, BEING ABLE TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT YOUR DREAM IS ANOTHER THING!
LET UR DREAMS TAKE FLIGHT!! :)
